Simple letters are the basis for all good styles. Even the wildest shit you see out there is based around basic letter structure.  I am posting an example here for all to see what i mean by simple letters, but what it boils down to is the same letters you see that jump out at you every day. The ones you see in advertising, on billboards, on TV, in comics...all that stuff.  If you think about it, they use those sort of letters for a reason.  its not because the advertising firms couldn't hire people to do fancy letters. Its because this is what everyone recognizes instantly.  If you look really hard at what writers you respect most, you will notice more often than not, its the ones whose names you see most often.  Seen didn't get famous from wildstyles. Neither did Lee or Dondi.  Graffiti is about getting your name KNOWN. How are you going to do that when no one can read your name?
